Tow Bar electrics

Hi all,
I'm now the owner of a 63 plate B7 blue motion estate. I had the usual rear washer fluid into the electrics and destroying the connector. Got it fixed under warranty.
The tow bar electrics are now playing up with the brake lights and sidelights not working on my bike carrier. The indicators work and the sounder operates. The reversing light also works OK. I suspect the Tow bar ECU. Anyone out there with a similar issue.
