New suspension

After owning and driving my sport as a taxi for the last 5yrs New suspension was needed as it was very old and tired broken bush and a failed shock,

So after strolling through the Internet and realising I dont want coilovers as I wanted to retain a daily driveable car
I opted for a suspension kit with a 30mm drop of hottuning

After looking at vw mutants car I will be happy if it sits like that
And as I didnt have a budget for billys or anything in that price range
I got in touch with Edwin (hottuning) via Facebook
It was very straight forward he gave me options and prices
And I will say you cant buy them anywhere else at the price he gave me them for, in essence the kit looks like a pi suspension kit.

These will be getting fitted in the next few days so shall update with a before and after

Thank to edwin

That ain't right fella and no good for a taxi , not much wrong with a Sports ride height anyway .

Yours is more like -50mm front -30mm rear .

Hottuning - 30mm you say , I don't know anyone who has Hottuning springs that doesn't form a coilover kit .

Stick to the professional motorsport brands that people have used on here over and over .

With Eibach you have an online kit number and within that kit you can check the front and rear spring part numbers so you can double check that those springs belong to the correct axle weighted kit .

Assuming it's a 2.0 tdi BKP, - 30mm Eibach Pro kit number is E10-85-016-02-22

Front spring numbers will be F11-15-007-03-VA , and rear
F11-85-012-01-HA

THERE IS NOTHING FINER

These are ta technix sport suspension kit sold by hottuning,
I looked for pics of a 30-30mm kit fitted and the only other one was vwmutants and I liked the look so went with it
Im in contact with Edwin at the moment give him part numbers of my springs,so shall see

It drives loads better now.even though its low
Wheel to arch gap is 1 finger width.

Its probably about 30mm on the front lower than a sport which is probably about 45mm drop over standard car if that makes sense
Its just a guesstimate.

The only criticism is that it does have a bit of a 'nose down' stance, the rear could do with being slightly lower to even it out.

Only you can say if it's too low bud, don't listen to anyone else telling you otherwise :-@

After all it's your car :-bd

I've had a little tickle on the old phoshopp app, brought the rear down a little. Is this the look you want?

You got skillz with the photoshopping mate :-bd

I was just after the front raising around10-15 mm
I dont want it slammed as its a taxi and we like to be speedbump friendly

Great pic though.

After trawling Google and putting my part numbers in I think I can see the problem,I have a 40mm lowering spring for a1.4tsi,
So given that plus the extra weight of a 2.0tdi there no wonder
The fronts about 50mm lower

Im still waiting for him to message me back,I understand I may have to wait a little as he's probably a very busy guy

Well Edwin got in touch and has told me he has ordered some and will send them to me,as the ones fitted are for a 1.6 petrol sent by mistake from the factory from what I gather.

I'm happy its getting resolved with no problem
Edwin is a good guy

Il hopefully have a level car soon :esm
