Advice on Engine swap mk1 passat

Hi there,

Got my hands on a 32a Passat coupe LS 1980, and I´m looking into giving it a engine upgrade and been browsing the internet for hours looking for info but cant find much on engine swaps.

Looking into fitting either a golf mk2 16v gti engine or a passat 1,8t engine with gearbox from the 1997-2001(engine mounted the same way?)

does anyone has any experience or can point me into the right direction on where to find info on the swaps.
