B3 variant rear spoiler?

Just to clarify, I'm not a boy racer (well, obviously, i drive a '91 2.0 passat estate...)and dont want the equivalent of an ironing board on the back, but i think in general estate cars look a bit better with a small lip at the top of the boot.
Only problem i can see is the sloping rear hatch, it may looks silly as the top is further towards the front than the bottom..)

Take the (IMO) rather nice Volvo T5...
