VR paasat still giving me grief... HELP??

Right the passat has been off the road now for about 2 months. it started missing and hesitating on acceleration between 1500 n 2000rpm.

So plugs, Leads, Coilpack, Fuel Filter, MAF were all replaced.

This didnt help so plugged it into VAGCOM and it came up with EPS fault... However a quick scroll of other forums and this was down to the car running early software. It brought up a fault code unless engine was running.

It got worse and just wouldnt even idle. I have had it back on VAGCOM and it brought up a MAF faultcode with short to earth. I had the wiring checked by an auto electrician and we tried swapping the maff again still with no cure. I was advised it was a fault on the ecu.

Today I recieved a second hand ecu and plugged this in.. It Idled but is still struggling to accelerate and still bringing up the MAF fault code ( Short to ground).

Anyone else had similar issues???
