Saloon parcel shelf removal

Took it out today to sweep the dead bugs out of the high level stop light.
1. Unplug the tiny power plug under the high level lamp.
2. Drop the rear seats forward.
3, In car leading edge of shelf is held by three, hidden captive pins, just press the shelf upwards at those points.
4. With the three pins loose, carefully pull the shelf into the car.
5. Three hooks at the window end, under the shelf should release as the shelf moves forward.
6. Refit carefully in reverse order.
I have read of folk managing to release the lamp itself and wriggle it out. Dont bother! Lamp remains attached to the shelf with the above method, much easier!
