Rear Suspension Issue.

Hi I have noticed this for while and its slowly starting to annoy me. When i look at the back drivers wheel and then look at the passenger rear wheel, the drivers rear seems to be further inside the arch than the passengers. Strange one I know. It really is annoying as i want to put a set on 18's on the car but dont want it to look stupid or seriously screwed up if the drivers rear is further in than the passengers.

Could the rear axle have shifted and if so what could have caused this. Had it up on the ramp but really cant see anything amiss had the car inspected after i bought it and checked on the computer for accidents and all checked out that no accidents had happened and the body shop confirmed this also no damage. Except that the rear bumper had been replaced.
