Evening,
Looking for some information, just been out in my B5.5 130 PD TDi, and had a warning light flash up on the dashboard stating Alternator Workshop.
Following this now got the battery light flashing on and off.
Does this mean that the alternator is now not charging the battery at all?
How many miles will the car do without the alternator, I'm guessing not a lot.
Obviously going to have this fixed ASAP, is it worth the risk taking a punt on a second hand alternator?
Anyone know roughly what a new one will cost?
