b5 1.8t 20v estate alarm sounder and autolock question

i finally got vagcom working
autolock:
ive tried to get the autolock switched off
basically when i unlock the car with the button on my key after about 20seconds the car autolocks
im fightened one day im going to be out and put the keys down in the car and its going to lock the keys in it
ive tried looking through vagcom and i have turned the lights flash on second button push and flash twice on unlock
i have also turned the bleep on but theres no sound
but cannot find a way of turning this autolock off
anyones car do the same and can it be turned off

alarm sounder box:
i have searched and found a thread asking if this is were the alarm sounder should be and it shows it should be under the heater matrix pipes by the battery tray and the picture shows a plug with wires disappearing through the bulkhead under the hoses
ive looked at mine and theres no box or wires
although infront of the pollen filter there is a plug that looks the same as the picture in the thread and a nut on a thread but no box and the wire goes forward round by the abs unit then goes into the look by he chassis
do you think the sounder is missing
i can take a picture and post up of the wire and plug
any help would be great
