Solid Clutch and Flywheel Kit

So after getting my Mechanic fixed the coolant problem with the car, i have yet another headache.
He's told me the flywheel is on the way out. Its rattling the exhaust to bits. He has told me i would be better to change to a solid clutch and flywheel kit. Can anyone shed some light on this which would be better just replacing the Dual mass or going Solid?

Opinions, Info gladly received.
