new thermostat

Fitted a new thermostat today. What a differance. Needle now points to 90° put climatronic into diagnostic and running at 92°, where as before it ran at 69°. Before, when you gave it some shoe, it smoked, a lot, now it doesn't. I am guessing that the ecu was telling the fuel pump to deliver more fuel as the engine wasn't up to temperature. Now it feels more responsive, runs warmer, warmer inside, and better on fuel. Stat from eurocarparts, cheap as chips. I'm a happy man.
