Need some new parts! Starter motor and ecu

Car is a 1.8t b5

I need a new starter motor am I better gettin a brand new one or from a breaker? Also how much would one cost?

Also may need a new ecu for my 1.8t what do I need to know? Also can I transfer my remap from my old one to the new one? It has a fault (internal rom I think...?) So probably is what's causing my hot starting Problem. Again how much would an ecu cost?
