Really nasty pull/steering wheel wobble at speed.

Post by The Monk »

5.5 Wagon.

Driving along earlier at 75mph the steering wheel starts to rock left and right. To the point where I had slowed to around 50 and it was still there. Snatching the steering wheel to the right.

It carried on until I pulled onto the hard shoulder a few seconds later and stopped. Even at 3mph or 5 mph, it was still creating a wobble.

I drove off after inspection and found all 4 wheels still attached to the car.

Hit 60 and then massive wobble.... felt like the chassis was throwing a fit.

Stopped, nothing observed. Nursed her at 55 to home. I'm stumped.

I've had severe tracking and balance issues on my old VR and never experienced 1/10th of the pull or judder at slightly higher speeds.

Brakes are new. No missing weights for the wheels either.

Accelerating seemed to slightly calm it but off the accelerator, wobbled like @@@@.

Cheers Guys and Girls. ^:)^
