interior lights started playing up

on sunday my interior lights decided to just come on while i was driving. when i stopped they would only go off if turned off and when i got out and locked the door the front lights started flashing then stayed on so i unlocked the car and turned the front light off which then left the rear lights on so i have had to manually turn all the interior lights off. they have all worked on locking and unlocking coming on and off as they should the only problem has been the drivers door has been intermittent at triggering them for a while but it has never bothered me as they come on when unlocked or the car is turned off
i have done a search but the only thing i can see is the wiring in the door locks being the cause of the intermittent drivers door issue but not for the interior lights just working as they like
