thinking of completely f****ing up my car

Help me.

I keep thinking about completely destroying my car.

A few months ago my wife announced that there would be the pitter-patter of tiny feet in the family, we also have a very large dog. So, I went and bought a b5.5 estate.

It's big.
It has plenty of space in the load area for the dog.
It's comfortable
It rides well

But, I'm seriously considering 18" wheels (obviously with lower profile tyres) and coilovers. This, as far as I can tell will make the car look good but will mean that it's no longer comfy and will crash over potholes (of which there are many around me) the suspension will be too stiff for the dog and the pregnant wife (and baby when it comes).

In short, it will mean that the car is of less use than when I bought it, and I bought it because it would be uselful.

Please feel free to use this thread to mock me and tell me how much of an idiot I'd be if I went ahead and ruined my transport.
