A couple of faults

Well i recently brought a V reg passat and there are few concerns.

1st off when you turn the key to start the car there is a load beep and on the cluster there is a message saying Service now.
What does this mean service what?.

2nd up is the interor light stays on constant.

3rd how the hell do connect one of these to your phone?
