b5 central locking fault not ccm.

Hello peeps.
Just hopeing some off you passat gurus will be able to help me out on this

my 20v se central locking was working fine up until yesteraday whenleaving stonor park, the boss had all ready
gone back to the car and unlocked it(shows not her thing)

when we got home i went to lock the car but no go, quick trip to halfords for some batteries for the remote.
Popped them in no good.
I checked the carpets and the ccm unit all is dry and fine, i do clean the channals often,i have also checked the fuses all seemto be ok there,

I can not reprogramme the key as i had to swap my ingition barral a few months back.
Any help would be greatly recieved.
