Seat airbag qestions

Hi All,

I may be buying a Sport interior for my B5, only problem is the new front seats don't have airbags.

My current ones do. Now, I'm not fussed about the airbag side of things, but what about the loom/warning light.

If I change the seats and have the loom unplugged, will that set off the light on my dash, which of course is now an MOT fail???

Any help would be mucho appreciated.
