Garage expense to change thermostt

I've changed susp arms on my b5.5 so I'd consider myself competent.

I didn't have time or inclination to change my stat and sender so took it to my local indy to get it done. I cant believe its cost £200 to do. Gutted. Should have asked for a quote first.
