Torquing lower control arms inner bolts

Post by chappers »

Hi, tackling control arm replacement.

Changed top ones after nightmare removing pinchbolt. All straightforward after that.

Wanted to attempt lower arms but I can't get a wrench and socket on either bolt head or nut because nut has only a cut-out for spanner access, and bolt head has no room because of ARB bracket/engine mount.

Tried using my spanners but couldn't undo it. Even called upon the power of greyskull but that wasn't enough.

My biggest concern, though, is how I'm going to torque then angle tighten those inner bolts when I can't get a wrench on them, let alone have clearance for a 2-foot torque wrench even if I magically managed to get a socket on the bolt?
