Am I wrong for sending this letter.....

Post by Lordbenny »

I'll just paste it here and see If you think I'm being out of order....I have deleted a couple of things to protect myself and the seller!

Hi @@@@

My name is @@@@ I bought your dad's Passat and I thought I'd just drop you an e-mail to express my thoughts on your need to disguise the history of the car. I met your dad, he seems a really nice guy and a guy who wouldn't pull wool over anyone's eyes but it seems that he/you have. I have discovered today that both the front wings of the car have been re-sprayed. I discovered this after rust bubbles appeared on the front near side wheel arch and I had the paint depth measured by VW. I thought I may be able to get the rust sorted on the 12 year VW corrosion warranty but because they have been re-sprayed I can't. So, after paying 'top dollar' for a B5 Passat I have found that it's not as unmolested as the seller (you) suggested. The VW garage has quoted over £700 to put things right so I am now not a happy bunny.

I would have presumed that someone who not only was a car enthusiast but a man who works for a company that specialises in absolute quality would be capable of such dishonesty. I really have nothing else to say as I am pretty sure you won't reply to this e-mail. I just hope that if I ever want to buy an @@@@@@@@@@@@@ that you didn't put it together.

Regards,

(Just to add that the guy builds very expensive hand built sports cars)
