Boot won't open when unlocked with the doors fob

Hi guys,hoping for some help with this,I have a 2005 passat tdi,when I press the central locking button it unlocks all doors but not the boot,the boot will unlock off the boot button on the fob though,anyone had this happen before? Any help appreciated
