Remap advice

Afternoon all. Once winters done I'd like to look at upping the power on the dadmobile! However, with 212k on the clock I'm dubious as to how kind it would be to start tinkering wth it and potentially ruining what is currently a pretty reliable machine.
I'd potentially start with a remap the. Go from there, however with a decent map costing around the £350 mark, is it worth it?
