Servicing at home

Post by nightshade »

Hi guys,

The service light is on so I'd better do something about it. 3 questions though:

Will I need to Jack the car up to remove the lower engine cover - is it easy enough to do on the roadside?

Where's cheapest to get filters these days? I'm mega skint :((

And anything out of the ordinary I'll need? I have a filter strap (the band kind) which I'm fairly sure will get me into the oil filter housing.

Thanks
