Not my normal successful oil change

Post by Gazwould »

Yes I did warm it up but not much .

Using as ever the Sealey TP69 extractor .

Problem was the small diameter 5.8mm tube was bent from a combination of leaving it in for too long and the hard plastic getting distorted and the way I store it dropped over into a box with a carrier bag in to deal with any drips .

I recall 6 months ago I wasn't sure if enough came out .

I chopped the end off a bit but it was far from a straight tube and got out what I could .

I used the never used larger medium 6.7mm tube also but can't be certain about it's ability .

I've found a perfect storage place for tubes in the groove of side stacked spare woodchip loft panels .

Lesson learnt and will buy a new small tube mid summer.

Maybe even consider not getting the engine that hot so the tube doesn't distort .
