I’ve got a strange problem on my newly acquired 2004 b5.5 estate.
When I bought the car the tailgate didn’t open and the ccm has obviously been replaced as someone’s cut a big hole in the carpet and left the old ccm in the boot
Now I replaced the faulty solenoid in the boot that was completely dead, now when I shut the tailgate or lock the car from the fob the tailgate pops up onto the latch!
Would the wrong ccm cause this? Could it be a saloon ccm on my estate?
Can I reprogram it? I have another ccm from a 2004 highline estate, can I just swap it?
The wiring all looks ok now.
