AWX "Engine Workshop!" error message but no fault codes!

Hi guys ... any ideas?
AWX suddenly bleeped at me with error message on dash of "Engine Workshop!" (yes .... with the exclamation mark!
) and glow plug light flashing. I scanned for codes and there is nothing. Engine is running and pulling ok even with the error, but I rely on the car so want to understand what's going wrong.
