Bought some Cree LED H7 headlight bulbs off of Horizon LED'S the other day after receiving them i got them fitted to my low beams, i now understand after thinking they are a load of poo why they were actually not very good compared to my 5k HID kit. After being explained by the guys over there they are only intended to replace Halogen bulbs not HID kits because these run at 45000 lumins where as the led's i bought only run just under 3000 lumens. BIG DIFFERENCE.
Im looking into fitting them to my B7 passat high beams for better look and the oem bi-xenon start up look. Only problem is these bulbs are Gen 1 and they have big fans on the back which get in the way of the shrouding on the rear of the light.
Any suggestions to how to get them fitted?
Cut out plastic shrouding?
Has anyone fitted some?
