Keyless Entry

Morning people, new member after some help.

We have a 2012 Passat estate B7 which up until last week was working fine. Now the keyless entry no longer works for both keys, we can unlock and lock the car still by pressing the buttons on the key fob and can still start and drive the car without having to put the key into the key slot.

I have noticed on approaching the car the red led no longer flashes when the fob is in range of the car, the batteries were changed in the fob roughly about 4 weeks ago.

Any ideas on how to get the keyless entry working again?
