Morning all I have recently purchased a 2011 2.0 tdi bluemotion, I love the car,I have one question am I right in thinking the engine light should light up when the ignition is switched on and go out when the cars started, mine doesn't light up at all, just want to make sure it's not been disabled, I have scanned the car with vcds no active faults

Any help would be much appreciated
