Metal tyre valve caps- Beware

I fitted some of these some time ago. This week I noticed that one tyre looked under inflated, tried to remove the valve cap, absolutely no chance. The end result was 4 new tyre valves. To stop these seizing on, I would suggest a smidge of Vaseline around the the thread of the valve, what a bustard ~x(
