engine worries

Hello,

I have a concern for my engine. I have the diesel 2.0 140bhp model b6 Passat.

Its intermittent, and id say its worse when engine is hot but not always.

Essentially, sometimes I start the engine and its really smooth, other times I get a bit of a judder through the car as it fires up. Same when I turn the engine off. Also occasionally there is a rattling kind of noise from the engine. It's never failed to start or anything like that, but wondering how concerned I need to be. Car is coming up to 150k miles, has FSH and recent cambelt done.

Any suggestions would be great.
