Creaky front bits

Hi again...

Me Ssat's got a bit of a wierd problem.... 05 plate Tdi140 with 44k miles... FSH and all that...

However, its got me thinking...

Going over roughish roads, or speed humps (loads in Barnsley - of each!) there appears to be a slight creaking from the front end...

I've had similar on my new shape civic... answers were varied - from "the bushes are shagged" to "its just one of those things"....

... I just hope its not the shocks which are buggered... I can't afford that (mind the car still has warranty till November, so I was thinking of asking nicely)

Anyone shed any light... I just don't fancy my car slamming itself for no apparent reason.
