B6--PD 140 engine or Common Rail?

Which is the preferred engine? Does anyone have comments on torque, economy, smothness etc of both engines.

ie Which engine is the quieter ?

Do the engines have the same gearboxes/ratio's ? Does the SE have the same torque as the Sport 140 ?

Is the B6 suspension as good as the B5 ? [Certainly cheaper to maintain/replace.]
