Retro Foglight coding ????????????

Hello I`m a long time owner first time forum user,I have a 2007 B6 1.9tdi that I have bought and fitted Front Fog lights thinking that I`d buy a wiring harness and switch and stick them in later when I had the time.When I looked up the net for a wiring harness I`ve found this site" https://www.carmediauk.com/store/140-VW ... rness.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" and I see that it says

* Replacement of the Central Electronic Controller may be required for OEM functionality. Confirm with your dealer if your module supports foglights
* Coding of the vehicle is required after installation

Is this correct and is the coding needed ? or is there away around it, or does anybody know of a more complete wiring kit with switch included ? cheers
