As above I am wondering if anyone has / or knows how to do the heat & twist mod on the shifter pin.
For those of you who are wondering what I'm on about...
I have bought a new style DSG shifter which has the button at the front rather than the side so the pin on the shaft needs to be rotated by 90 to allow the selector to engage Park. If it doesn't ... I won't get my key out.
There are various threads on other forums with mixed reviews and differing techniques so I would really appreciate some clarity if anyone has already done this or knows someone who has.
