electronic steering lock fault

hello guys 58 plate b6 with steering lock fault

is there any way round the steering lock fault without a new one.. i.e. coding the steering lock out..?

or

is it possible to buy a new lock / column and recode the lock to the immob..?

i have vcds and vag tacho if needed..?

also is there a write up on removal and repair..?

any help please asap
