drivers door wont open!!!!

hi all this is my 1st post,the last few days i have had issues with the drivers door opening from the outside!!? i can how ever open rear door and open the drivers from inside.this problem seems to be maybe something to do with the cold weather now?? as had it a few months now and been ok. the 1st time it done it i pulled the internal leaver several times and hear a click and then it worked fine.....but this time no joy.
