The release button of the luggage cover/shelf of my wife's 2013 VW Passat estate 2.0 TDi seems to be broken. Feels like the spring mechanism beneath is broken as it is permanently in the 'depressed' position and does not function. I cannot therefore remove the cover.
Can anyone suggest a method of removing the cover without damaging it or the trim of the car. Some suggest sliding knife or plastic between the cover end and the window to attempt to depress the two plastic luggs which slide into the recess on the window side, but I have had no joy.
