Just wondering if any of you guys know the best way to lower a 1983 Passat CL estate, the 1.8 petrol variety.
Are there any kits available, or does suspension from another model fit?
Thanks in advance.
Dan.

The 40mm H&R springs are code HR-29-546 for the 4cyl and can be found for about £150, but I can't find any shocks to go with these.
Any ideas?

i went for brand new standard ones which should be fine. the front ones are still avaliable from VW. front and rear ones are avaliable from euro car parts or GSF car parts. i did find the rear bottoming out so you have have to go for short bump stops or cut down some mk2 golf ones.
hope this helps
